On March 27th, Pivot to Peace joined over 300 organizations and individuals across 60 different cities to rally against anti-Asian violence and China-bashing initiated by the ANSWER coalition. In this video, we compiled clips from speeches from rallies where our members are based (SF and LA).
In San Francisco, Veterans for Peace member, Mike Wong, begins his speech by reminding the audience that the Atlanta massacre that targeted Asian Women took place on March 16, 2021, 53 years after the brutal massacre of civilians in the small village my My Lai in Vietnam by US Soldiers. With over 3,000 attendees at the San Francisco rally, Mayor London Breed was in attendance, standing on stage with the speakers.
